StudyChat is built to need as little personal data as possible. There are no accounts, no advertising and no tracking cookies.
What we process and why

AI processing
Essays are marked by Anthropic's Claude models running on Amazon Bedrock (Amazon Web Services). Under AWS's terms for Bedrock, your content is not used to train the models. Server logs record technical data such as token counts and errors, not the text of your essay.
Stored in your browser
Your recent results, draft essay, chosen feedback language and license key are saved in your browser's local storage so they are there when you return. You can clear them at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Gumroad as merchant of record. Gumroad receives your payment and contact details under its own privacy policy. We receive only what is needed to confirm your pass.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share data only with the service providers above (Amazon Web Services and Gumroad) to run StudyChat, or where the law requires it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data. Because we keep so little, most requests can be met by clearing your browser data. For anything else, email support@studychat.bot.
Children
StudyChat is intended for people aged 16 and over.
